Live God's Love in Fresh New Ways!
Our vision matters because:
We share our vision through:
We live our faith by:
We are Episcopal because:
- We need a safe and loving place to share our questions, doubts, hopes, fears, and experiences in a Christian community.
- This brings our faith alive and makes it relevant.
- We want to hear the voices, stories, and experiences of others.
- This allows us to maintain a sustainable church community where we work together maximizing self-sufficiency; using our resources wisely; focusing on our long-term well-being; reinforcing our sense of community.
We share our vision through:
- Reaching out to those unfamiliar with or alienated from church
- Community lay-led morning prayer
- Discussion of each Sunday’s scriptural readings
- Spiritual reflection where everyone participates
- Fellowship after service every Sunday
- A once-a-month community brunch
- A once-a-month Eucharist
- Innovative worship music: both vocal and instrumental drawing upon the talents of youth in our community
- A program of invited speakers who lead and encourage discussion and dialogue on Christianity
We live our faith by:
- Cooking and serving at the homeless shelter
- Donating clothing, toys, and food during the holidays
- Participating in the democratic process
- Fostering a reverence for the earth as God’s creation and actively working to preserve it
- Developing pathways for people to share their resources
- Supporting an innovative, student centered, parent led school
- Sharing our time and talents with the elderly
- Providing an online forum for sharing alternative views
- Promoting the vocal and instrumental talents of our community–especially our youth
- Sharing delicious free meals with our community
We are Episcopal because:
- We affirm Episcopal heritage of reason–scripture–tradition.
- We appreciate the beauty of the Book of Common Prayer and its liturgies.
- We are an active part of the Diocesan community and its inclusive policies.
